Organ Festival

Back again this year, the Organ Festival "Città di Camaiore," organized by the Municipality of Camaiore association with Marco Santucci thanks to the contribution of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca, Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lucca and the Province of Lucca, and came to the fourteenth edition. The schedule of concerts, all in the church of the Badia di Camaiore at 21.15 to free, begins July 17 and ends August 26. Eight dates in which some performers, among the biggest at the international level, will echo one of the most popular organs in the Italian panorama Organ, built in 1995 with specific reference to the German Baroque literature and in particular to JS Bach.

The timing of this proposed interpreters of the highest importance, and next to a living legend as Philippe Lefebvre, one of the holders of Notre-Dame de Paris, some artists are among the most famous in Europe: Roger Sayer for which a British critic , referring to his way of playing, he used the expression "Mida's touch"; Gottfried Preller, among the more knowledgeable experts of Bach, Stefan Kagl, a pupil of Jean Langlais. They were joined by Italians Silvio Celeghin, Diego and Alberto Mammarella Cannizzaro, excellent performers, academics, also winners of major national and international competitions.
