After reviewing all available information sources, Uaythaus discovered (and made public his discovery) that the Arab historians, not only ascribed authorship to Joseph project, but also explained the origin of the name of this place. Uaythaus died in 1911, never achieved the recognition of their ideas. Forgotten was the theory, and American engineer from Rochester, who not only believed the Biblical patriarch skilled engineer, but also found evidence of the reality of Joseph - the artificial track, bearing his name, and legends surrounding it. 
Over a century after the astounding discoveries of the past Uaythausa and successes to identify archeological monuments of antiquity, rulers, dynasties, cities and dates. Using this information in order to relate the biblical patriarchs to the era of Mesopotamian history, I came to the conclusion that Joseph was born in 1870 BC. According to the Book of Genesis (41:46), Joseph was thirty years old when he was instructed to prepare Egypt for the seven lean years, and therefore the beginning of the project belongs to 1830 BC. 
Thus, I was convinced that in order to verify the hypothesis Uaythausa necessary to answer the following question: which of the Pharaoh at that time in Egypt and were there any evidence of his connection with Al-Fayum depression, and an artificial lake. 
I was pleasantly surprised - but not surprised - when found out that Amenemhat III, Pharaoh of Middle Kingdom XII Dynasty, came to the throne in 1842 BC (in the two years prior to the appointment of Joseph sight) and rules until his death in 1797 until our era. Documents at the time attributed to him - quite clearly - the construction of waterways and irrigation canals in the area Fayuma. The fact that he was involved in the creation of artificial lakes, is confirmed by the two giant statues of the pharaoh by the middle of the lake. It was during his reign, al-Fayum became the breadbasket of the country and the main supplier of fresh vegetables, fruits and fish. And most interesting - in the statue of Pharaoh in the guise of a sphinx lion's mane replaced ornamentation of fish (Fig. 88).
